My husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to have our private reception at the Smiling Bison. We have dined in at this gastropub quite a few times before our wedding and we were never disappointed. Ron the owner, Josh the chef, and their team were all so attentive and detail oriented with everything. Our family is still talking about the food we ate at our cocktail hour and dinner reception. This is truly a unique place to visit. Menu options are carefully chosen and everyone could tell that the chef is passionate about what he plates for his guests. I was a very happy bride and my husband was a very happy groom, we wouldn’t have done the reception any other way. Thank you Smiling Bison for making our special day so memorable.

I have to be honest, I was dreading coming here on a date. Looked up menu online and thought... oh great, a bunch of food snobs. I actually ate before hand because I was under the impression I would leave starving. I was wrong! Bison burger and fries was to die for! They had a little bit of everything despite the menu being limited. We sat at the "chefs table" which is basically a bar where you can watch food being prepared. The chefs were super friendly and helpful. Ironically, our waitress had zero personality but whatever. It happens I guess. I will definitely be back.

I personally do not know of many places in Florida that serves bison meat in burgers. If you haven't tried it before then you should definitely check this place out. You immediately will notice a difference in taste between a bison burger to a standard burger from a cow. I wish the portion sizes were a tad bigger but overall a good experience if you're in the area and looking for delicious burgers.

We enjoyed dinner here. Food was good. On the expensive side. Our server was great but the bald headed server that was at the door when we came in was very rude. I believe this is the way he always is as the two servers we were talking to knew exactly who we meant even BEFORE we mentioned his calf head.

Was so excited when we were able to squeeze into the smiling bison tonight because my father was visiting from south Florida. The host was accommodating even though we had my two year old and two month old baby with us. Our food was decent and the service was quick. Things took a bizarre and unfortunate turn after we paid. We overhead the waiter behind us telling his table we were bad parents for having our kids out at a bar so late at night. Umm first of all, it's a restaurant. Just because you have a bar doesn't make you a night club... Chill tf out. Secondly, it was 9 when we paid. Not an ideal time for my 2 year old but he was quiet the whole time and didn't make a mess and his grandfather was visiting. I think its pretty normal for waiters to talk about their patrons amongst their peers but not right where they can hear you and to other guests. I assume they just hate children because my waiter (different from previously mentioned waiter) brought everyone a water minus my 2 year old. Also never asked me if he wanted any food, I had to sneak in his food order last second before he dashed off. This wasn't my first time at the smiling bison and I brought my father here because I previously had great experiences. But this left a sour taste in my mouth, so it will be my last. I may be a "bad parent" for having my child at the restaurant but at least my child knows not to be rude.
