Loved visiting Castile's on Valentine's Day. I was treated with excellent service and conversation while watching the Celtics game. The Chef himself actually brought me out the most delicious piece of cheesecake on the house. Shot out to my bartender Mikey (I lost your number gurrrl!).

The restaurant being part of the hotel is a bit pretentious.. We were shown to a table on the terrace... with nice views over the water. The waiter was very polite & described some dishes . we took him up on his cocktail suggestion...it was very nice indeed. Our octopus starter was one tentacle ... a bit dry with a celery base that did nothing for the dish & priced at $ 16. Our main dish was a whole sea bass that came uncooked and we had to send it back so we eat our side salad while we waited for it to be returned cooked - it was ok at $37. We ate it with steak knives... Main courses not served with any vegetables or potatoes. The pear salad we shared was served without any spoons for serving so we used our knives and forks. Glasses and cutlery were carried by all the waiters and waitresses in their hands! Not on a tray... My credit card was rejected until the manager came and mysteriously it got accepted!! Mind you... the bread was so good. Very over rated and overpriced for what you get...best part was the bread & the lovely views!

Amazing food and a beautiful place. The wild boar was spectacular!

The pluses, setting was fantastic and our server was great. Negatives, the food left quite a bit to be desired. Ordered the charcuterie plate which came with a confusing mix of meats and cheeses. The cheeses were either too mild or too pungent. The meat was good but cut too thick which made it more chewy than it should have been. Neither complemented one another. For entrees we ordered the tenderloin and salmon. The tenderloin was supposed to be mid rare but came out medium. Seemed to be cooked on to low heat and not turned, lacked seasoning as well. The spinach was way to salty and the potatoes tasted powdered. The salmon dish was better. Salmon cooked nearly perfect but the shaved brussel sprouts were not good. Just sauteeing them with bacon would've been adequate but mixing in lemon and other ingredients made it confusing to eat. Unlikely to come back.

Service is terrible and incredibly slow. Food quality is not close to what they are charging. Restaurant sucks. So, at least staff apologized, comped a portion of the meal, and realized the problem.
