May have been good once - not now

My wife and I were guests on Monday 9/19/22 at 11am. We were two of three people in the cafe. after an extended wait, our order showed up. The Vandal Jr. Burger was so over cooked it crunched, the lettuce was wilted with a black edge. And, by smothering it with 1000 Island dressing it hid the over cooked meat and made it a 1000 Island burger. My Wife's Reuban was almost as bad, the rye bread, if it hit the grill at all it wasn't enough to melt the Swiss Cheese, the corned beef was cold too. The manager was more interested acting like a smerking jerk than fixing our order. I sent my sandwich away after one small bite. My wife ate hers as she is nicer then I am. There are far better choices in Moscow, ID than the Varsity. I don't complain until the high prices don't measure up the the product you get. The Varsity might be suffereing from no one wanting to work, but you can't expect diners to come back if the management allowing such poor quality to leave their kitchen

Both of our favorite breakfast places were packed and we were in a time crunch. No wait, sat down and the waitress suggested a cinnamon roll to share between 3. HUGE! Warm gooey and yummy. The meals were well done also. Good price, good food. We will be back.

We've made the Varsity one of our regular places for a treat in Moscow. The staff are great, friendly and seem relaxed and happy as they work; its a true 'mom and pop' type shop. They have good classic burgers and you can choose from several sides; though the onion rings are very good and if you want gravy on your fries they'll happily oblige! (that's a comfort food for me and not common around here). If you do have a problem they'll fix it.

Easily the best vanilla milkshake of my life. Awesome atmosphere and very friendly staff. I've never been more compelled to give a generous tip. The food was also amazing. Would recommend this place to anybody. Hopefully will this restaurant will become an icon of Moscow.

I've been here twice. The hamburgers and Milkshakes are really good. I had their chicken fried steak and didn't like it at all. The service is good.

Bland. Incredibly bland. I ordered a hamburger, which is a pretty tough meal to mess up. We also ordered a tuna melt that was absolutely awful, bland tuna with a half warmed over Kraft single on it. We actually got a refund on that, which is why this review is two stars. I figure if they refund us for absolutely terrible food, I can't give them a one. The onion rings were good, but nothing special. They really need to refine their menu so they don't serve this half-assed food.
