From the outside, this place looks a little run down, so I was a little skeptical. However, from the moment I met the owner, Buddy, I was sold! He recommended the sausage sandwich with a Buddy's salad (not my typical go-to Italian food, but okay). With sausage made right there in the restaurant, my ideal of what an Italian sausage sandwich should be changed forever! So good! Furthermore, it's a salad, with dressing, it is what it is, right? Wrong! The dressing was very clearly homemade and tasted like the dreams and aspirations of Olive Garden's salad dressing. I cant recommend this place enough! Thanks again, Buddy!

The food is always delicious. Service has always been good. Cozy atmosphere. It is a little small so when it's busy it's hard to get a table. I moved away from Poky but every time I come home for a visit we must stop at least once. I highly recommend to anyone. I hope you like garlic because the salad is awesome but it can be an acquired taste it took me years to appreciate it. I would have just a few bites growing up from my mom's plate now I can eat a half by myself. I usually order the same thing when I go a salad, garlic cheese bread & Italian sausage sandwich all of which is spilt to share with someone else.

This place has high reviews so we went there. VERY disappointing. Meatball sub sauce bland, meatballs okay, no provolone or cheese on it. According to reviews they had good salad with garlic taste, it was bland. Ordered spumoni ice cream for dessert thinking it was made by the restaurant: waitress said it was Blue Bunny brand. So many reviews are 5 star, and I can't figure out why. VERY disappointed.

I love Buddy's! I have been eating there since I was literally a baby (I'm 32 now). The owner, Steve, is a great guy, the food is wonderful, and it has the most unique feel/atmosphere of any restaurant in Pocatello. I try to go every time I'm visiting (I moved away 12 years ago).
