I have wanted to try this place for the past 40 years. Always drove by it on our way to Brown Deer Forest Preserve. Had to stop in for these "famous hamburgers" I have always heard about. Place is very small, but we were able to find a table no problem on a Thursday evening. Hamburger was delicious. Would like to go back in the summer to enjoy the patio on the outside of the building looks really nice.

Brandt's is a classic, neighborhood place. Cozy, dark, and no frills. Suzanne was server and she provided excellent, timely service. The burgers are huge and come with a lot of fries (sweet potato in my case). Hence the price is a little higher. Onion rings are very good as well. I only wish they had a few more craft beers on tap. They had Anti Hero so I was good to go. I'll definitely be back.

I saw this restaurant on "Chicago's Best" right after we moved to Palatine, and wanted to go there ever since. We usually do not dine out on days other that Sunday and "Barndt's" is closed on Sundays so finally after 4 years we had a chance go get there on this Valentines Day for quick dinner with my wife and daughter. Restaurant was moderately busy, and we got table right away. We all ordered hamburgers and it was good. Fries not so much. Waitress very nice and friendly! I have had better burgers but overall experience very good!

So impressed with this place. Came with our three kids. The owners bought my husband and I a beer and couldn’t have been friendlier and concerned that we would get a table quickly. Food was delicious and service was excellent. You won’t be disappointed here!

I grew up in Palatine in the sixties! We knew Mrs Brandt. She played the piano for us in the original restaurant! Now I find out my cousin Abby works there! How cool. Good food and memories! Louise Sutton
