We live in an amazing time of technology. We were driving north on 59 on our way home to Rockford when my husband said, "I sure could go for a gyro right now." I pulled out my phone and searched for "gyros near me." Coincidentally, we were less than a quarter-mile from The Dogfather. "Turn right here!" In just a few minutes, we we're enjoying delicious gyros. They were a hefty size for less than six bucks, and for only $2 more we added fries and a drink. There was actually so much meat that we both set some aside to take home to have eggs with gyro meat for breakfast tomorrow morning. It may be a good thing that we live an hour away or else we'd be eating here too often! Terrific food, good prices, and the cashier was friendly.

Actually I do not like writing bad reviews but I will for this place. While I was eating with my wife, the TV hanging on the ceiling was on a channel about someone being murdered. It was graphic with blood and my wife lost her appetite. I politely asked the owner if he can change the channel. Well, he did not. I ended up throwing away half of my sandwich and left the place. I was thinking that maybe it was part of his theme to play content like that. I'll never go back to this place. The food wasn't really that good too.

First of all I’d like to say LOL at the comment that’s listed from a month back about about the tv not being changed...really? That’s something we unfortunately see on the news Every. Single. Day. (Seems like you really just wanted to leave a bad review, despite what you say.) Anyway! Today I catered from Dogfather, following my husband’s rave review to me about the food, since they have it at Hobby Lobby annually. It was our daughter’s first birthday, and though she may not remember it, we wanted to make it special... And special it was. From the time I put the order through, through the many emails that followed, it was absolutely delightful to have not only great food, but awesome customer service. The owner, Tony, actually hand delivered the food, set it up, and talked with us as if we were old friends! (Seriously, how’d he know my dad was a biker? Very awesome, and something I’m sure he will remember too.) I will gladly cater again and again from The Dogfather over and over for all our catering needs! Thank you so so much for the care and detail provided to a first timer at catering! I will gladly do nothing but rave about this place! Oh-and the Italian Beef is the most out of this world beef I’ve ever had! The Chicken Marsala is amazing too!! Thank you Tony and staff for make my family and my husband’s family filled up and happy!!

Spot on! Whenever I'm craving a hotdog, gyro or chicken sandwich, I know the answer is Dogfather. The staff is amazing, Tony (the owner) is the most personable business owner I've encountered in Bartlett and the food is delicious!
