Tried to like it because other reviews were good but too many strikes against it. At 1:15 on a Saturday they were out of pulled pork and corn muffins already. Then the so called roasted broccoli was definitely steamed and tasteless. Then the ham and bean soup had no liquid in it -it was mushy and not soup and very very salty. Then the ribs were way under done. Had a hard time chewing them off the bone. The flavor was good if they had cooked them longer. The brisket was very good and so was the turkey But I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there either. Really wanted to like it because it was fun to eat in the jail cell.

Very impressive place, loved the atmosphere. The food was excellent with their own unique recipes. Just wish they were open more.

Always great! Tempeh sandwich is delicious and my husband loves the corned beef. Sides can occasionally be on the bland side but they have some of the best fries in the city and a great beer selection. Atmosphere is fun and the courtyard is lovely.

STL is a beer and bbq town. Capitalist Pig is why I will put this city up against any other bbq town. Great cuts of meat, done RIGHT! This isn't a run of mill joint, top quality from the brisket , to the sides, to the homemade sauces. Plus when was the last time you are burnt ends in an old jail cell.......actually don't answer that. I really don't want know. Get your tookus down here and give them your money, you won't be disappointed.

Understaffed on a Sunday... Definitely exercising a lot of patience here. Been here before and the food is good but this line has been moving way too slow.
