Okay first things first: The new name of this place is The Good Life Cafe. Second, but more importantly, the Good Life comes with DELICIOUS food and EXCELLENT service. I visited here in search of soul food and they definitely made my soul full!! I rushed in not long before closing and they were all so gracious and accommodating. My food was seasoned very well (DO NOT CHANGE the recipes, please) and it tasted FRESH despite the hour. It was so good, I couldn't stop to take a picture, but I definitely recommend you stopping in and trying for yourself! SN: I noticed the boss treats his staff well, and they all treated me well. I believe that makes a big difference! 👍🏾👍🏾 I'll be back soon!!

The wait was entirely toooo long for only 5 customers with a 7 person staff working... although the food was hot they were running out very fast on Mother’s day the should have been prepared! I only came in for a meatloaf dinner w/ 2 sides and a small peach Cobb and spent $20...wow my total wait time was 37mins due to waiting on Macaroni and cheese and in line only behind 3 people. I want to give them another chance because the food is good!

All of the meat looked picked over and dry. It did not look appetizing or appealing at all. I asked if they had more food coming up. She said no we do not. Umm okay? The macaroni and cheese was the highlight of the menu. Nice hospitality but the food. Not so much.

I tried to love this restaurant, but their food is inconsistent,as with many Soul Food Restaurants, some days their food presents dry and hard and others looks and taste good. I usually only get the 4 sides meal for $7. On good days, the mac is so good, the green beans are good and has a nice taste, the greens needs more flavoring, sweet potatoes are good, and the white beans are okay. Cornbread needs some work as well. I have visited 4 times, but I will not be returning.
