Excellent authentic food and a nice atmosphere. The owner roams amongst the guests and chats with them. Very friendly and fun. You feel like family here.

We’ve been going here several times a year for several years. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic. For us, it’s like when we went to Grandma’s house on Friday night for traditional German dinner. The owners are such wonderful people and always visit with every guest. With being the first state-side born member of the family, this place always reminds me of my youth and family.

Like other reviewers mention, it can take a while to get your food here but that's because everything is made to order and it's a family owned restaurant where they don't have a lot of staff. Go with good company to talk to while you wait and enjoy all of the fun German decor. The food was pretty good and authentic although some menu items weren't ready during lunch (understandable since its all made fresh and some dishes take hours to prepare) but the waiter said by 3 or 4, everything is usually ready. Friendly staff, unique atmosphere and pretty drive.

I worked in their kitchen. I would love to know what a health inspector would have to say about that place. P.S. the owners are could learn to keep their racist comments to themselves.

If I️ could possibly give no stars, I would. Worst service ever. Called ahead for reservation and when we got there it wasn’t ready, and we waited half an hour to finally be seated. Then when we got seated, there wasn’t enough seats so some of my family members, including myself, had to sit separate from everyone else. When we got seated, we didn’t get served for at least 20 minutes for our drinks without straws , and then another 25 minutes until we ordered our food. The food took at least an hour as she didn’t refill our drinks or even give us a beer list, and all of the orders were either wrong or not made. My food personally was absolutely gross. And also, the table next to me was never bussed the whole entire time I️ was seated, being left with old food on the table. Completely disappointed for driving over an hour for this place only to find disappointment. Total time here was almost 4 hours.
