Last was here about twenty years ago. Happy to see it was renovated well. There are two rooms now: a low-ceilinged (and quiet) dining room and the tin-ceilinged bar; I definitely recommend sitting in the bar. Tables are a bit sticky but food/drinks were good and there were plenty of them. Dos XXs is on tap, the salsa is unique (and a little spicy) and entries were good. Would probably go back with friends but not sure it's a "date night" place.

Best Mexican food, excellent service, nice atmosphere

I haven't been too impressed with this restaraunt. I have tried a couple of times and I think I decided I really don't like it. Food isn't very good and the service is mediocre.

Overall, is a nice place, clean, nicely decorated, good atmosphere and soft music. The service was very good. The food is average, chips are great, but as a Mexican restaurant they can do a better job on mild and hot sauces than just Cholula. How about some good spicy homemade salsa verde to go with the Tampiqueña steak ? Or a homemade salsa roja for tacos ?

Visited this restaurant a few times during the StemCafe presentations and tried different menu options each time. Aside from the inattentive service, which is to be expected with a larger group, the food just isn't that great. During the last visit, I ordered the Beef Brisket Chimichanga... and didn't even want to finish it. I wanted to like this restaurant, but feel that there are much better restaurants in town.
