Honestly this place is pretty unbeatable for the price... First time I came here was about 5 years ago and it didn't change. It just great traditional Mexican food that's prepared well and for a very attractive price. I originally heard about it through a foodie magazine but I guess it never became that popular which baffles me cus it's great.

Mexico Restaurant has been a decades long family owned business in Des Plaines. It's got the best Mexican food I've found anywhere. They have hard shell taco shells which I prefer, but that's not the reason I rate them so highly. They are just consistently good. Also, they have the best mole sauce I've ever had anywhere in the US. I am just so glad they are located nearby.

I go here about 2-3 times a month for either lunch or dinner, other yes I order for pick up. Brenda is my favorite waitress, very pleasant, friendly and always making sure I have everything I need. I always get the menudo bowl and 3 barbacoa tacos for my son.

Best in the area. I tend to judge based on how good a restaurant does basics, and they sure know how to do their beans. The actual entree is obviously good too.

The atmosphere, the staff, the food. Once you walk in you will be in for a real treat. Our favorite place for Mexican fare.
