Excellent food. I and a fellow diner had the Reuben sandwich, and we both did a double-check thinking there was bacon on it, but no, the corned beef was so good it tasted almost like premium bacon. Not sure what they do to it, but *dang*. The house salad (which was much darker green than I usually care for) was also great, and the croutons were perfect. The other people in the party also agreed their meals were great. I will agree with a few others that it may be a touch over-priced, but service was quick & friendly, atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, and as I said up front, the food was fantastic, so I think it depends on the person. I wouldn't let that deter you from at least trying it once.

My visit was for a business dinner and they set us up in a semi-private area to the right of the bar. The whole vibe of this place (and location) is cool. They started us off with some really good appetizers -- salmon hush puppies were my favorite, the charcuterie a close second. We had a prefix menu and I chose the Spring Salad and Half Chicken. The chicken was VERY good and cooked perfectly but what I was obsessed with were the grits it came with. I think I could have eaten a giant bowl of them. We had a choice for dessert but I was so full from the appetizers and meal. I told the server to surprise me as I just wanted a taste of something sweet and was in a food coma, not able to make decisions. I was presented with chocolate cake which was divine. Food was terrific, service was exceptional... particular with the group size. I do not live in the greater Chicago area, but travel here often enough to know I will be back to One Fifty One.

The staff was amazing and our food was good. The problem was from the time we ordered until our entrees came out, was 2 hours. I'm sure it was an off day, but there were maybe 5 other tables and the large group that was there came in about an hour in. I can't say enough about how nice the staff was though

Drinks are legit! Try the Medicine Man! The atmosphere is cozy, and modern. This will be the best place to spend our summer nights for sure!
