Yummy delicious food and excellent wait staff made this a very pleasant visit...once again. I actually was there for a birthday party having recommended it to the person hosting the party. She thanked me for the good recommendation so she too was clearly very happy with everything. One note, someone seated at my table had some specific dietary challenges that would have not been possible to enjoy the buffet and they kindly made her a personal meal to her dietary needs! Kudos Cafe 31 North! Happy to highly recommend you!

Excellent food, good service and a friendly atmosphere.... just what Mchenry needs! It’s a nice place to eat with friends and can accommodate a small party in their private room ... great for small group studies!!! I love being at Cafe 31 because they are attentive to my needs... best kept secret in the area... but now the word is getting out!!

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff is courteous and attentive. On the day I visited they were introducing some vegan options. I had the Vegan Benedict which was fantastic. I hope they are able to add them to menu permanently. Thank you for an amazing meal.

The atmosphere is a little bit better than a Greek restaurant. Most of the staff is Young and undertrained. We sat and watched as the silverware, cups, and napkins, where replaced on a table that had six people at it without the tablecloths being changed crumbs were still everywhere. Before ordering the corn beef hash Skillet I inquired as to if it was real corn beef or the canned corn beef, the waitress assured me that it was the real corned beef so I ordered it. To no surprise that was corn beef straight out of the can as you can see by the picture below. Needless to say I didn't eat it and asked her to take it away. When the bill came it was still on there. It was obvious there were a couple of experienced waitresses in that restaurant. If they would take the time to train the younger ones I could see how it would be a better experience for all. If they don't do some better training I see their doors closing in 8 months, until then I still recommend the Brunch Cafe.

Would never return....came with guests. We were totally embarrassed with poorly prepared food, lack of ambiance as well as owner monopolizing conversation while our guests as well as ourselves were feeling very uncomfortable. Unacceptable indeed!
