Traditional and fusion Korean dishes. Great taste, fair price, very clean, kind server. Good place to eat. Lunch and dinner. They are closed on Sunday!!

Price is reasonable. Food is tasty. Portion side is good. Friendly staff. I'd recommend this place!

This service used to be good, but it is just not the same. The food tasted among the worst I have ever had. They have been demanding tips on the receipts, and they charge extra for another bowl of rice. We found a rice surcharge on our bill when we never ordered any extra rice (the table next to us ordered that actually). Moreover, this place has closed too often without any proper warning. In addition, it is very difficult (maybe impossible with some vehicles) to get into the parking lot. Not to mention, it is extremely hard to see the entrances. You will also want to beware that the parking lot is an enter only and an exit only. Overall, this is 0 stars! Update 3/6/18 With the ownership change, there has been some improvement. The food is not actually bad anymore. If you go early, you may have enough luck to get fast service.

Gamjatang or Korean pork neckbone soup is the thing to get here. The heartiness of the spicy, peppery soup plus the fall-off-the-bone deliciousness of the pork bones makes you forget that you're in the midst of the Chicago winter. I really like the fact that there are plenty of pork bones in the soup to go around and some of them are quite meaty. The Gamjatang is also served with large chunks of potatoes that absorb much of the flavors of the soup. I always enjoy drinking the soup at the end because it thickens from the starch of the potatoes. Typically, I like to see plenty of veggies in mine, like nappa or perilla leaves but theirs have less veggies than what I'm used to. Overall, I'm quite satisfied on my first visit and very glad that I've discovered this gamjatang place so close to Evanston!

One of the best Korean restaurants in Chicagoland. The things on the menu may not be for everyone but what they have is very authentic.
