I have a tradition of taking my grandchildren out for breakfast when visiting. We noticed Sterling Family Restaurant on our way thru town a couple of times, and the sign BREAKFAST in the window. 4 out of 5 kids agreed to try something new, but the youngest had his heart set on a "pig faced pancake" that the chain restaurant where we'd gone before, had. I assured him that we could ask at the family restaurant, too. When we shared our dilemma with Tammy, our waitress, she said she'd see what the cook could do. When the Mickey Mouse pancakes came out, my grandson declared "THIS is the BEST restaurant in the WHOLE WORLD!" We had great food, and fabulous service!

Sterling Family Restaurant is a great example of the classic Greek American diner. Lots of American fare and several respectable Greek dishes. Breakfast all day and decent practice. If you want trendy food and decor, this is not the place for you. But, if you want a good representative of an American diner, Sterling Family Restaurant offers good food and fair prices.

The restaurant is dirty. The food wasn't very good. The waitress was rushing us, She brought us the wrong drink. And dropped part of our food, and had to have it remade. There were people shouting.. even though there were only like 10 people seated in the whole place. The food was more expensive than I had expected. The salt and pepper has a thick layer of ... grime on them... I'm all for the family diners, they're normally my favorite places but not this one.

Great food as always. Waitress was great too. Stinks though the building is starting to look run down.

Usually, this is a great place for breakfasts and other food. Today for lunch there were problems. The gyro meat in my sandwich was overdone, (think very crisp bacon), and my wife's corned beef hash and pecan pancake were substantially burnt. My greek salad was great. Perhaps the cook had a bad day or he needs to learn how to cook certain things. This was the first bad meal we have had here after many great breakfasts.
