Nice decor. Food has standard diner taste. There was a ton of food, but nothing awesome. Waitress couldn't tell me what was in the chimichanga and didn't offer to find out. It had tomatoes in it and she didn't mention them. The dinner rolls they bring out are individually packaged so they can reuse if you don't use them. The menu is huge so they clearly can't make everything high quality. I'd prefer not to go back.

We had a girls brunch date today with various family members. We met at 11 am and left at 1:40 pm. The food was good and plentiful. The place was busy and the servers were not able to stop regularly to ask if we needed anything as often as we would have liked, but as soon as we got someone's attention, our needs were immediately taken care of graciously. There was a very friendly atmosphere.

Al's place is a huge hit with the senior. They have daily specials that include a dessert. The soup is alway good. Waitresses are always very friendly. This is the go to place to take my mother in law when we are in Streator/ Great place to go get a homecooked meal.
