Been wanting to try this place for many years. Food was excellent. Salmon special with white beans was so good. Great decor and ambiance. Something really good and special for Yorkville. The down side was the drinks. Mixed drinks we're very weak. So stick to wine or bottles beer. Otherwise we really enjoyed our evening!

Came here with the family on a Thursday night. The food was bland and the waitress got upset with us because she messed up my daughter's order. I'm having trouble reconciling the cost of dinner with the lack of any high dollar menu items, and lackluster food. Final bill was $75 for soup/salad for me, vegetarian pasta dish for my wife, and 3 kids meals. Literally noodles and sauce. I'll avoid this place at all costs in the future. I recommend you do the same. If they can't get the flavor of simple foods right, I'm certainly not inclined to go back and order a $30 steak. Another thing to note, I ordered my salad with their house tomato vinaigrette; I've never had a "salad dressing" like that. I swear it was just marinara sauce on top of lettuce leaves covered with croutons. My wife says she really liked the thousand island dressing though. I'm actually getting upset over the experience just thinking about it again. I'm not against spending for a nice meal, but this experience was upsetting. They're open from 4-9pm. We got there at 6, and the place was near empty. The tables were all scratched up and the place looked prematurely dated. I should have picked up on the cues. For dinner, only 2 other tables? Now I understand why. Fool me once...

Always good food, drink and service! We go for the quieter relaxing 1940's Italian atmosphere. Been there at least a dozen times. Never been disappointed!

Nice slice of local. Food was average, a bit bland, service was excellent and kitschy ambiance was fun.
