Well worth the detour. On way from Cincinnati to Wisconsin, stopped for gas and looked for local place. Did not disappoint. Fried chicken was excellent. Coleslaw delicious. Didnt take much arm twisting for dessert, Blackberry Cobbler. And it was so good!

Great food and friendly staff. Worth the drive. Just be aware, the fried chicken dinner is made to order.... will take some time to get it out to the table. Make reservations, go early and order appetizer options. Corn fritters and spicy cheese curds are amazing.

Five-star chicken. Pan-fried to order and heavy on the spice. Chicken best enjoyed with a cold beer, friends and family. Dismayed by one or two reviews complaining about the wait. The restaurant does get busy and they have a healthy take-away business that many locals use. Even if you have a group reservation they; like most other restaurants, don't stop everything to serve one party. Perhaps, if I were frustrated by a delay, I'd put my cell phone down, push the soda pop aside, order a round or two of beer for my friends, enjoy conversation and being present, in Wagner's, in quaint Oldenburg, Indiana.

Great pan fried chicken. Harley clubs, Porsche, Jeep, Corvette groups & more come from 2 to 3 hours away to visit this beautiful little town & the fried chicken. Busy times are Saturday & Sunday 12 noon to 6 pm

I travel miles to eat here at least twice a year. Simply awesome chicken. I love restaurants that are not afraid of the spice cabinet. Lip smacking delicious chicken.
