Because we have been here many times and experienced top notch service, excellent food, and friendly service, I will base my review on those visits rather than the visit we experienced tonight 03/25/18. Had tonight been our first encounter, it most definitely would have been our last. When you first pull up in front of the restaurant you notice the rustic brick architecture of the building, and the simplicity of No. 9 Grill sign. The interior is appropriately decorated, reminiscent of an upscale loft and is family friendly. The menu has a decent selection of appetizers and entrees. This evening we chose the loaded waffle fries for an appetizer, New York Strip, steamed broccoli, and house salad for me and my hubby selected the Prime Rib, onion straws, also with a house salad.

Went Xmas 2017 with a cousin we had steak dinner was great, went back with a date 3/29/17 we sat in the bar area, bartender waited on us, only seen her twice she did not bring my beer back to me after first ordering it had to go to the bar to get it. I order rack of ribs they were so spicy could not even eat them, date order the pork chop was big and thick had a nice smoke favoring but was served to him cold and should of been hot Other servers waited on us original one finally came back the second time to hand us the bill. I asked for to go box to put the whole rack of ribs in that I never ate , we were never asked how our food taste . I do not recommend this restaurant I will not be back.

Food is always good. Service comes and goes depending on who you get. Their ice tea is fantastic. I had their fried shrimp and it was delicious. I really enjoyed their marinara. Their porkchop is also always great. The loaded fries are wonderful, especially if you are super hungry and want a big appetizer.

Nice place to eat but a little pricy. I like the decor and they are friendly people to work for. All around, the experience is a nice dinning experience that I would recommend others to experience. Probably the best restaurant in Cambridge city. I would definilty go back. Even the outside of the building is done up nice, with plenty of parking on the side and around the front.

My family and I have enjoyed many meals at The #9 Grill, I have recommended and bragged on the food always, but tonight was horrible, there was six of us and to start with at 7:30 (dinner time) they were out of baked potatoes, ok we were fine we ordered sweet potatoes only to have the waitress come back and state they were out of sweet potatoes! Well we than in disbelief ordered steam broccoli! Well I was served a bowl of broccoli that was more like baby food! It was the most over cooked unseasoned stuff, I literally spit it out! The others in my group were also very disappointed in their meals! I went to the back so others couldn’t hear me and told the waitress to take the broccoli to the manager and ask him if that looked like steamed broccoli to him, I expressed how disappointed I was and with this experience I had no desire to come back. Do you know a manager never came to our table at all, I seen no sign of a manager. My sisters fish ( fried Haddock) was the color of dark chocolate. She never complained, all the meals just seemed to be prepared by someone that didn’t care or didn’t know how to cook! Thank God for the good group of people I was with it made the money spent all ok. I won’t go back again,. That’s my experience
