Being from Louisville, I've felt a bit incomplete loving hot browns and not having had one from The Brown. I must say it lived up to the hype. My most common complaint for a hot brown is when they don't have enough sauce. The chef here did not make this mistake and filled the serving dish! A symphony of flavors danced upon my tongue during every bite. But it didn't stop there... The service was excellent. Every member of the staff was friendly and ready to share the history of the hotel and the famous dish. They even gave us a copy of the recipe for us to try and make our own at home. I highly recommend a stop in here for one if you are a hot brown fan!

We had an awesome NYE experience! We had the late night hot brown and It was obviously the best in town! George was a gracious server and could not have been more friendly. I would recommend this to anyone for a great NYE in Louisville!

The most elegant place in Louisville with the feel of the old authentic Louisville. A true historical gem. Worth every penny.

Worst dining experience of my life. The staff was horrible and rude. If not for the food being delicious, I'd have given them a 0 rating. My wife left practically in tears because of the portentous attitudes we experienced. In all my life we've never been subjected to such horrible service and will never go back even if it were free.

The restaurant was lovely and the staff was excessively friendly and enjoyable to talk with. Ron, our server, had a great knowledge of the menu and was very personable. He described the sweet potato soup so well that we had to try it. We thought that it was very tasty, however we weren't quite prepared for the cayane pepper that gave it a very spicy kick. It was a little too much for my wife to handle, even though she really enjoyed the soup overall. She ordered that salmon and was very impressed by it. I had come intending to try the famous hot brown. The dish was so hot that I couldn't take a bite for several minutes. The bacon and turkey was good, however the gravy and cheese overwhelmed me. I usually clean my plate, but I had to stop with several bites left on the plate. We enjoyed ourselves, and we were glad we came, however we will probably try something different next time.
