I love this place, they have a little gift shop and all. The food is amazing and they make it how you want. NO vegies no problem for them! Always happy with them.

Food was excellent, and the portions were great for the price. Free egg drop soup while you wait. Staff was friendly and food was prepared in a timely manner. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.

Red Apple is one of those interesting hole in the wall places that has a very unique character. It is well located for those near the downtown area of Waterloo. The place is part restaurant and part Chinese gift store. They have a large menu and offer 33 different lunch specials for $6.25 and 44 Dinner specials from $7.75. On Tuesdays the lunch specials are just $5.00 dinner specials are $6.00. They also have a kids menu that has some non-Chinese items such as Chicken Nuggets. The food has always been good and their portion sizes for the price you pay is outstanding. The only downsides is that their service can be slow at times but if you are picking up in their store or eating in they do offer Egg Drop soup and I wish the inside of their restaurant was better kept up. It is not dirty but just disorganized and messy. Beyond that the Red Apple is good and inexpensive place for Chinese Food.
