Good food, refreshing cocktails, excellent wait staff and entertainment on the weekends from karaoke to bands this is a great stop for any traveler or locals who want a good time out in the evenings, or just a wonderful place to have a meal for the family or by yourself. A glassed in seating area with a gorgeous River View is a plus for any visitor to this venue.

Waiting staff is always attentive, friendly, and personable. They make you feel like a friendfamily. Nice river view and relaxing with the occassional eagle. Always excellent food. A real Keokuk treasure for decades.

Let me start by saying that I had given this place two tries, I was in Keokuk visiting family, It was a Tuesday night my husband and I got a little hungry so we decided to go to the cellar as my family talks so highly of the place and give it a try we pull up and plainly on the side of the building 5-9 it's only 8:50 we're good, as we are walking up the ramp to get to the door a blonde short curly haired girl locked the door on us, and I mean literally she seen us shut the open sign off and locked the door, so we turned around angry and left, the next day after discussing that we did in fact still want to give it a try, so we head to the cellar plenty early.. we get there and it's the same girl who locked the doors on us the night before waitressing tables, pretty sure she didnt recognize us.. she seats us and disappears into the kitchen for at least ten minutes before coming back to take our drink order, and then another 10 to get my drink and my husband's miller. we decided to her our order in case she didnt come back for another 10 min,so fast forward about 15 min I'm out of soda and the waitress is again in the kitchen,so after 20 min or more our food comes out, I have to say it was pretty good. I had the rockin rob and my husband had the patty melt. the waitress checked on us once, and after we were done eating it took the waitress forever to bring us the change from our bill. Food was great but the service needs attention. I won't be going back to this place again untill I hopefully hear that the service has improved.

Good service, good food, horrible tea

This is a two part place... The restaurant is virtually distinct from the bar. I only know about the bar. Which hasn't changed since 1977 that I can vouch for.
