The food was terrible. They used to be really good, but not this time. Two is us had biscuits and gravy. The sausage was dried out and tough. When they cut into the biscuits, they were still powdery. I had the tenderloin, a staple there, and it was not good tasting. Hash browns were gross. I was very disappointed. It seems they have gone downhill.

Heard about Newton's so had to stop. Many great looking things on the menu. Great Reuben and Parmesan Fries. Can't wait to stop again.

Waterloo Iowa had typically been someplace we drive through on the way to someplace else. Newton's Paradise Cafe has definitely changed my attitude about Waterloo. I can't wait to come back. Classic American Diner, but with an upscale twist to everything on their menu. Our group ordered the Omelette, Tenderloin Sandwich with Sweet Potato Chips, and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Evening was fantastic. The hardest thing was making a choice. Looking forward to trying the Monte Cristo during my next visit.

My sister and I have been in this area our whole lives and realized that there are so many restaurants in downtown Waterloo and we've been to almost none of them! So we decided to go to a new restaurant every week. Newton's Cafe was first on the list. I was really surprised it was so great. I was expecting the usual menu with mediocre food. I was Soo wrong!! I got a chicken quesadilla that was sooo good. It was just the right amount of spice and green peppers with the chicken was excellent. And the salsa there is amazing!! We also got a Pesto chicken wrap which was also very good. There was a sauce used that was delicious and went so well with the dish. We were both very satisfied. Definitely going back for that salsa alone!!

Nice menu. Breakfast all day. Service is slow. Portions are too large.
