Having worked in the service industry for seven years, I empathize with restaurant workers and tend to give restaurants more chances than most. I'm saddened to be writing this review for Minsky's, formerly my favorite pizza place. Last weekend my sister, husband, and I each ordered pizza. My husband's original crust pizza was fine. The two thin crust pizzas were black –no exaggeration, completely black (I wish I could upload a photo to go with this review). I was stunned someone allowed this pizza to leave the kitchen. We called and kindly asked for new pizzas to be sent. Over an hour later they arrived, burnt again. We opted not to ask for more replacement pizzas, as at that point we were very hungry. No discounts or coupons were offered, just a half-hearted apology from the girl who answered the phone. Today I ordered a fiesta chicken salad from Minsky's. The avocados were missing, the dressing was half full, and the chicken was burnt. Minsky's is pretty pricy for a pizza joint; their standards of late have not warranted those high prices.

This place is fantastic. The food was excellent, my party had pasta, pizza and salad. All 3 were perfect choices. They had good beers and great mixed drinks. Would highly recommend.

I am a frequent Minky's customer and the jumbo wings are my go to menu item. Honestly one of the best places to get chicken in Lawrence. Staff is great, friendly, and service is always fast!

Decent prices and really good cheeseburger pizza. The original crust is good even though I usually prefer thin crust. If you want to drink anything besides water, tea or soda, you're in luck! Minsky's has a full bar.

The spicy chicken primavera is just buffalo chicken pasta. It's just strange. Good pizza though.
