It's always crowded on weekends so expect to wait for a table. Good news, the food is worth the wait. Service could be better. Portions are generous and a good value. I have noticed that some dishes are under-seasoned, but that is add much a matter of taste as a out is an objective observation. Also cocktails are great with spicy Bloody Marys are my favorite.

The eclectic vibe is the first thing you notice. Art and music are key features of the mood and tone. The staff is friendly but very busy, there is a rushed feeling. The food was good and will priced. I got the biscuits and sausage gravy (there may have been one small piece of sausage actually in the gravy). I asked for my eggs over medium, they came over easy, the hash brown lacked any seasoning, a little salt would have gone a long way. The biscuits were quite good.

This place has been here forever and a day... 25 years ago I used to go there and eat their biscuits and gravy which was absolutely delicious... I have been wanting to go in there and try the place again and I did... I ordered their pecan pancakes that had this marshmallow stuff over it and a side order of biscuits and gravy... my friend ordered the bacon eggs and potato breakfast which looked absolutely delicious... I really didn't care for the pancakes with the marshmallow on top I prefer the butter and syrup but I didn't know I couldn't eat them all it was just too much the biscuits and gravy weren't what I remembered... I don't know if it was the person I was with that made the food not as tasteful or what but next time I'm going to go there with somebody else and give it another try because I like the place and I want to experience their food but I won't order the pecan pancakes with the marshmallow spread on it ever again... but I love the artwork they have for sale on the walls the place had a really good vibe I want to go back and give it another try

I read the reviews about this place and I thought I was gonna take a good memory from this restaurant. The food, at least mine, was inedible. Awful. The chicken was like rubber, from the day before I think. The potatoes, I just could eat one, wouldn't even try the rest. I haven't had this bad breakfast in my whole life and if I could leave a negative start review it would be minus 10. Too bad because my service was great and I left a tip because of it. Otherwise I would've asked for my money back. Maybe it was a bad day but if in fact they gave me leftovers for breakfast shame on them for not caring about their customers. Definitely I will not be back to this place. I've been to Kansas city before and there are way better restaurants for breakfast. Shoot, if I knew it was gonna be this bad I would've gone to McDonald's.

Neat little place. Easy to get to from Downtown. Biscuits and gravy are really good and the banana bread is delicious! Good customer service. I was welcomed by a sweet lady when i walked through the door. Overall great experience! Check it out!
