This is a best kept secret. Freshest Sushi anywhere. Not like the 50% off places, traditional Japanese Sushi. Also great traditional Japanese dinners from the kitchen. Great people too.

The food is incredible and very fresh. This little hidden gem is definitely worth the experience and authentic feel of a real Japanese sushi bar.

"Great food. A rare gem" is what I wrote last year. I just came back to Cincinnati and was so excited to eat at Matsuya again.... I ordered 3 different sushi rolls and none of them had a well balanced flavor, one was supposed to be crispy but ended up being soggy, and the rice was almost smashed into a paste on the other. I will give Matsuya another try next time I pass by but today the quality was only on par with grocery store sushi😢

This is a great place to go to experience authentic Japanese quisine. They have sushi at a reasonable price, I believe I paid $6 for six rolls. I also tried a noodle dish with tempura shrimp that was amazing and under $10.00! The server is very friendly and helpful in every way, she's also a delight to talk to.

Amazing traditional Japanese restaurant! If you enjoy a cozy atmosphere, great food, and japanese culture, you NEED to come here! If you have a group, you should really check out the tatami room as well.
