The Science Hill Inn is a gorgeous, romantic and historic place. It is fun to explore the facility and look into the shops. That being said, I was mildly disappointed with the food. Having eaten there a year ago I ordered the fried chicken and at that time it was the best that I ever tasted. This time the chicken had a gravy on it and the chicken was a bit too salty. They should identify the parking better.

I stopped at Science Hill today thinking I would have a delightful lunch in their dining room. Well, I will have to come back another day because it was a Tuesday and it never occurred to me they would be closed so, I had not checked the hours before arriving. Tuesday is the only day the dining room is closed. Now, I will just have to make another trip to enjoy this lovely restaurant. That said, I always enjoy walking around this historic building. I am way over due a lunch here. It has always been a delightful place to visit. I will enjoy another trip to have lunch.

Been wanting to try this place for years. Finally made it, and so glad we did. The KY Hot Brown was amazing, it came out in individual cast iron skillets, still sizzling. The potato soup was also very good, and our waitress was just awesome!!!

Beautiful building and competent wait staff. Meatloaf at lunch was distressingly average according to my wife. We sent it back. The second choice was catfish. It was OK, not great. The slaw with the catfish was dressed with vinegar; great, if you like vinegar. My dish was the shrimp with cheesy grits. It was good but unremarkable. We did speak with the manager, who listened and appreciated our opinions. I would suggest you try the place, but with some caution. They're going through a change in ownership, so tell them if they do or do not get it right for you.

A nice day trip from Louisville. Food is really good. Setting is fascinating, a rambling historical space - former female academy from 1830 to 1940. First structure in the complex was built in the wilderness in 1795 - of brick! A lot of Georgian architectural embellishments in early and mid 19 the century. The site is on the Nation Historical Register. Rooms are filled with English antiques for sale. Have lunch and take a tour of the rooms and furniture.
