The Fish House serves local / Cajun cooking and is located just north of Monroe, in Sterlington (just south of the Frenchman's Bend exit on the highway). This place is always busy and you can typically expect a short wait for a table, but it is well worth the wait. The food is always hot and fresh, and good tasting too. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get. They have good fried fish, some of the best around. I typically get a grilled fish sandwich with a jalapeno bun and jambalaya on the side. The bun makes it, I recommend the jalapeno bun upgrade. My son usually gets the chicken strips & they are pretty good also. I have had their grid fish too, it is very good also. I have never had anything that was not good or that I thought was unsatisfactory in any way. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Definitely worth the drive from Monroe.

Fries were cold and they said they out because they didn't want to cook another batch. I'm assuming they said that because it was on a Sunday and they were getting ready to close. Other than that everything else was good.

No complaints ever! Love the fish house no matter if it's a quick lunch , dinner or any catering events!!! Top notch service and the best fish and shrimp around!

Absolutely the best crawfish I've had to date. Also ordered the fish... there should be a new name for the fish that Brad cooks up there. Crispy, tasty, fresh, no belly meat, amazinfreagincrazygood!

Crawfish is not consistent, sometimes it is exception, others is it grainy, gritty, obviously not purged properly. When you complain your treated as if you've never eaten crawfish before and therefore have nothing to compare their meal to. Waitresses are overall great at service, but some should be checked for appropriate dress in a family restaurant before being allowed on the floor.
