On a day trip we traveled to Lafayette to visit a friend and wound up at the jazz brunch at the blue dog. The buffet line moved fast and hot fresh product was constantly being put out. We opted for the bottomless mimosas while we sat on the patio. It was a very laid back atmosphere with great friendly service. Before we left we had to take pictures in the back with the giant blue, yellow and red dogs. I definitely plan to come back here again and will recommend all give it a try.

Blue Dog is no more. If you couldn't turn a profit with the old menu just file for Chapter 7 instead of trying to save the business. It is sad that so much has to be sacrificed to save on your cost of goods. The old menu and food quality was top notch. Our food came out cold and not anywhere near the quality of old. All of the good dishes are no longer on the menu. I hope that the money saved by the cafe is worth it in the long run. Long story short if you liked Blue Dog before, you probably will not like the new menu and cost costing scheme.

My boyfriend and I had our first date here 4 yrs ago. Since it was our anniversary we decided to come here again. We had excellent service and the food was great. They did an awesome job accommodating us and making everything special for us. What I didn't know is that my boyfriend was planning a special proposal. The waitress came with a dessert plate with the proposal written on the plate in Chocolate. They made it a special night for me and my fiance'. We loved everything....😊

The meal was fast delicious and Julie was very attentive. A glass never empty type of waitress. The breading on the shrimp was awesome. The pickles were top notch tasted homemade, and the seafood wanton was the bomb!! Great job guys

When we found out they don't serve the complete menu in the afternoon we expected to be disappointed. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, soups, and sides and they were great! A wider variety than we would have had, and each was really good.
