Great meal. Out of 4 days of eating in NOLA, this restaurant stood out. We went to many places, but I really enjoyed the food here. Local feel, relaxed place. Went for lunch. Good place to eat. Would highly recommend it. The Grilled Oysters were the best. I had the Cochon- it was fantastic. This place exceeded my expectations.

Three of us went, and found everything to be absolutely delicious. I had the deviled eggs and shrimp gumbo to start - very unexpected, but tasty pairing with a slight kick of heat on the back end. The Cochon was savory with interesting spices that seem familiar, but I couldn't quite place them. The cabbage, pork rinds, and shredded pork all together make a perfect bite. Service was friendly, and mostly attentive.

There was a lot of hype about this place, it led me to believe this would be phenomenal. It was good food don't get me wrong but I don't know if it really lived up to the hype. The fried alligator was pretty good, as were the crawfiah pies. Service as well was average, we waited for significant periods between drinks and to get the bill, they were busy so it's understandable, it didn't detract from the experience. I would return but with my expectations in check.

Trendy southern comfort food with a twist, attracts a youthful crowd. Good brew selection, aware staff, good lighting and open floor plan with some balcony seating. Daily specials, and we'll blended flavors. Mushroom salad has a light lemony dressing. Few of the prices are a bit high for what you get, and very few non meat options- even in the salads, beans and vegetable selections, so vegetarian and pescatarian friends have a challenge.

Visited twice and seated quickly both times although it was around 7pm. Sole diners can find a place at the bar or next to the kitchen (very warm as you’d expect). Recommend to book ahead for small as well as large parties. Deep and rewarding flavours and textures. Just fab.
