I consider myself a “home cooked” breakfast snob. I like it basic hot and homemade. After being disappointed over and over at area breakfast spots I finally made it over to Water street to try Down Town Diner. We were greeted immediately upon entering the door. Being a Sunday morning the place was stuffed....A very good sign in my mind. My friend and I pulled up a couple of seats at the bar. Perfect. A great view of the goings on in the kitchen and food being put up for serving. Got our coffee and juice immediately. Great coffee I must add. Order was taken when we were ready. Served in a timely manner and piping hot!! Now the real test....Are the baked beans home made? Yes!!! Game on!!! Great Breakfast!!! Great Service!!! Fair prices!!! Great portions and the place is as clean as a whistle!! This is the place to go folks...see you Sunday Down Town Diner. Ps. I’m having the Eggs Benedict this time. They looked delicious.!!! Add a side of Beans of coarse!!!.

Always a great breakfast. Love that I can get a good blueberry muffin grilled as my 'bread'. They also have a cinnamon swirl bread without raisins (yay!).

This is by far the best place to have breakfast in the area. The food is delicious, not processed at all. The staff are friendly and the kitchen is open so you can watch your food be prepared. The owner are Kim and Mike and they are great people. I highly recommend.
