A friend from the area told me this was the best place to eat in the area, so he took me there. Good honest food and down home service. I had the sausage breakfast burrito!

What a great local spot for breakfast! The blueberry pancakes are fantastic, as is the service. They do a hopping business, and with good reason. Will definitely return.

This is a gem of a spot. We ate there twice, breakfast and lunch, both times were phenomenal. The Maine blueberry pancakes had a great flavor with lots of blueberries. The regular pancake was super thick and fluffy. The sausage was topnotch in flavor and cooked to perfection, No drying out or hardness to them. And the toast variety is great; white, wheat, rye, and raisin. They all seem bakery made. The raisin was great. For lunch the Monte Cristo sandwich was balanced nicely with sweet and savory. Lots of meat. The Reuben was the best we've ever had. The main difference, it did not get soggy. They drained the sauerkraut and put the cheese as a buffer for the bread leaving a nice crisp sandwich throughout your whole meal. This is a big win for me. The Smash Burger was ordered by a lot who came in and for good reason. Think 5 Guys burgers taken up a notch. The flavor is really good and not greasy. They are opened until 1pm so make sure to get there before then.

My best friend and I recently visited Bath and were lucky to stay right across the street from Southgate. We absolutely loved that place. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. It made you feel like you were home. Our only regret is that we didn't eat there more!

Excellent experience - The service was great, and the food was awesome. They even have those little apple jelly cups that are getting hard to find! I would strongly suggest the biscuits and gravy, they were bussin bussin.
