High end dining at a humble looking place in Ellsworth Maine!!!! This chef is experimenting his high end menu here temporarily or what!! I loved the remoulade!!! It tasted amazing. Liked the lobster rolls. Beet salad is a must. Burger was average. Fish and chips were below average. The crust was very heavy and beer tasting.

Great food, great atmosphere. The lamb was cooked to perfection. With each dish I could taste and see that the chef really puts his heart and soul into the food. I will be back! Best drinks!

I was very hesitant to eat there. Pricey and no menu on line to see. Got up the courage and money and went last night. Started right off with great biscuits, followed with a none alcoholic drinks that was delightful. Didn't know what some items we're on menu, but that made the whole meal. Fun to get something to eat that you don't know. Like Jerusalem artichokes. Had no idea what they would be like. Pureed! Awesome. Great porterhouse pork chop. Anne had a mushroom cake topped with chevre. Not ours! New experience. Will go back many times. Such attention to details and presentation.. Great meal and experience. Wait staff was wonderful as well.

A gem in downtown Ellsworth! If you are a foodie you NEED to go here. A warm and welcoming place that could be totally pretentious (yes, the food and the ambiance is that good), but isn't at all! Go, just go. You will not be disappointed! A true find for flavor enthusiasts!

Nowhere near its predecessor the cellar The food is well below par and I mean it's nasty the duck was comparable to pork chops cooked in a pot of water. The lamb was like sandwich steaks from the appetizer small choice the fig plate was a joke the fries tasted like Burger King the tuna was the only decent taste throughout the whole meal even the cocoa cake was disgusting the only reason it has two stars was because of the waitress and host they went above and beyond to make a night with the inlaws flow smoothly the drinks are the only reason I would return well made rather strong and properly presented if the owner should see this you need new cooks and I mean quickly before your place sinks because the food sucks
