So inviting, right when you walk in you are greeted with a smile. The decor is appealing and warm. The menu is extensive and their choices for egg dishes have something for everyone. I had the special baguette french toast and was amazing. Great flavor, little crispy on outside and moist inside. And actual maple syrup. Servers are pleasant and attentive. Tasty coffee. A great stop for breakfast, need to try for lunch.

There was a great selection of healthy, homemade dishes. Everything looked delicious! I had the stir fry which was incredible, and my husband had the pan fried haddock with brown rice (yum). The food was so fresh and hot to the table. They use local ingredients, and cook when ordered. The staff was very nice and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Good food! A popular and busy place, especially during brunch hours on Sunday. There is often but not always a wait in the Summer. Outdoor seating on rooftop with water views of the working harbor. Staff friendly.

They don't take reservations, their is always a wait, and the service is a bit slow, but none of that matters. You deal with those things because the food and experience are great! The first floor isn't much but the second floor has a great view, if your lucky enough to get seated up there. Home Kitchen Cafe is my favorite breakfast spot on the Mid-Coast, but they also have lunch. I have had all sorts of thing on the breakfast menu and never been disappointed, and their home fries are to die for. I tried lunch for the first time today and I must say the fish tacos were some of the best I've had. Great place to grab a bite and well worth the wait!!
