Excellent food - served steaming hot and very well prepared. Their House Lo Mein was served hot and the noodles cooked perfectly; it was packed with shrimp, chicken, and beef strips- all tender and juicy. Their combo plate had enough for two!! and the fried rice was hot flavorful and just as it they make it and ,of course , it was their version and thus not like a prior picture showing “another version of fried rice”. Egg rolls were hot and gigantic and had a wonderful crunch before biting into a pleasing vegetable meat combination filling. This dining experience is one that many should plan on for a casual friendly atmosphere with a wait staff that is welcoming and caring. This is not duplicated in any Asian restaurant in the region. There was a short wait time of 5 minutes but it is worth a little wait. Their meals are cooked from fresh ingredients , assembled after being freshly cooked and the taste is exceptional. No comparison in taste, presentation or freshness and the caring wait staff will be always be there for your questions. You’ve all tried many places but now it is time to try one of our region’s best Asian restaurants.

Hands down best Chinese food in the area. It's a hidden jewel. If they had a better location they would have a wait to get in every day. Food is 10x better and a lot fresher than the other "local favorite" Chinese place over off upper main Street. I highly recommend choosing Jin Yuan, you won't be disappointed.

We love this place. The staff has all become like family to us. Great comfortable place to have a drink or sit with a pot of tea and definitely to EAT. Portions are huge (you can always share or get another meal out of one). Food is delicious and there are many vegetarian options where tofu can also be used. Szechuan and Kung Po styles, and curry dishes are available in addition to familiar ones. We go here for all our larger groups and parties up to 40 as they are very accommodating and fun. Kid friendly too. The scallion pancakes are awesome! (The people there are wonderful and would never rip you off or charge for containers as some reviews said. They even go out of their way to make the food exactly the way you want it, even salt free! )

We will drive from Bangor just to get Jin Yuan, nothing even remotely as good here or inbetween. Staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful and my fiance and I love seeing everyone who works there when we go! Great food, great atmosphere, amazing quality, huge portions and low prices - what's not to love!

This was my first visit to Jin Yuan. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive. This may be my new favorite Chinese restaurant!!
