What a lovely little place! I came a few weeks ago with my grandmother and ordered the pastrami sandwich along with the brie and apple sandwich. The pastrami was to die for! It was everything you could want in a sandwich and a very large portion (aka perfect to split with someone). My side salad was far from your average side salad (young spring greens, dried fruit, some apples) and just tender and perfect. She had the butternut squash soup, which she raved about, but the brie and apple sandwich neither of us cared for. There was no dimension in flavors and it just fell flat. One other note about the food here, holy butter Batman! They are very heavy handed. It all tasted delicious, but then gave you the "I just ate my weight in fat"/rock feeling in your stomach. If I had gotten chips or a heavier side I'd probably be giving this 4 stars, not 5.

We had an amazing dinner. Outside seating was comfortable. I wish my homemade bread tasted like theirs.

It isn't often that a couple that regularly dines in urban, well-reviewed restaurants tries a simple place in a small rural town and leaves feeling they've had an extraordinary culinary experience. But that is what happened when my husband and I dined at Market Table Bistro the other night. From the deviled egg appetizer ($1 apiece!) to the Chestnut soup, which gifted us with a smooth, nutty flavor, not overly reliant on cream or salt to guarantee its flavor, to the German chocolate cake that was worth every calorie, we left feeling as though we'd eaten at a four star restaurant for the non-princely sum of $61, which also included two glasses of champagne. The service was remarkable as well, somehow unobtrusive while completely attentive. We intend to return and try the many other intriguing menu offerings.

This was a fabulous find, and well worth the trip from off the highway. Everything we had was wonderful, but I'll give a big recommendation for the Liver and Onions appetizer. Don't think your grandma's liver and onions here; this was chicken liver pate topped with jellied onion compote. Wow!

Wow! My hubby and I went there tonight for dinner. Dress is casual. The food is amazing! I had a medium rare steak. It was perfect not just cooked perfect but seasoned perfectly. Melts in your mouth! It was seared exactly the way I love it. My hubby had the catfish. He is a foodie. He said the catfish was amazing! The crust was perfect. So delicious. They accommodated my challenging diet/food sensitivities. I called ahead and worked everything out with the chef. So nice they had my order ahead of time. My hubby also had the cookie and milk for dessert. He loved it. This is my new go to resturant! Worth the drive. Oh and they take reservations. I can't wait to go back. Price was very, very reasonable too! I think previous reviews regarding pricing being high is comparing it to TGIFridays/Ruby Tuesday or some place like that. This place has high quality food which sets it apart so I think they miscatoragorized this amazing place. It's not overly expensive at all for the quality and service. I would even play more because it's worth it. The source their foods locally and offer organic plus organic wine too and accommodate diet restrictions.
