I called By The Docks regarding a brunch for my family for Mother's Day. When I called, I was told they were not accepting any more reservations due to their schedule being booked. About 5 minutes later, my friend ( who is Caucasian with a more pleasant voice) called for a reservation. They scheduled her. Although I have phone etiquette, I feel as though I was racially profiled over the telephone. If this is not the case, the owner or manager should make sure they are on the correct page instead of allowing their employees to provide customers with the wrong information. Long story short, instead of calling the restaurant back to complain, I wrote a review instead and decided to arrange my event elsewhere.

First time and LAST time at this place. The waitress THERESA was very rude. We joined our party about 30 minutes after they had been seated. She came and asked did we want anything to drink (my husband and I). My aunt asked for a box because she wasn't feeling well. Theresa's response was "everyone is going to need a box but I'm not talking to you". I than said I needed a little more time to.decide what I wanted to eat, she said " I didn't ask you what you wanted to eat, I'm asking if you wanted something to drink". At that point I asked for another server, she went and got the manager who told me we couldn't get another server. We went to Jimmy's . I will not be returning to this rude bottom of the barrel mess. If you are not from this area, stay away.

It's a Middle River/Chase MD staple. They have great choices on the menu and the food is excellent. I've tried a variety of food and never been let down. Great customer service and the wait is never long even when its crowded.

I ordered the Seafood Imperial. The food was delicious, but the portion size was similar to a lunch portion and I would have loved more crab meat, but the flavor was delicious. It was more shrimp and scallop dominate with a light coating of crab meat, instead of all 3 evenly portioned. The broccoli was good and the baked potato was decent. I will definitely visit again. I want to try the Broiled Seafood Platter next time, which is probably a larger portion and more worth its price.

I think they need an upgrade in the dining room and the bathrooms. It’s just not as inviting. Food is ok but not as flavorful for a Maryland seafood place. Lots of parking here and handicap ramp as well. Desserts are pretty good
