Ate in the pub with friends. Great food. Generous servings. I took half of mine home with me. Terrific waitstaff. Friends and I dawdled for a couple of hours. No rushing by staff. No drinks being pushed on us. Did I say the food was great?

I recently enjoyed two meals at Durgin Park in four days. The first meal included a lobster roll and their famous baked beans, which I found so delicious I returned the next day for more dining pleasures. The service was great. Our waitress made recommendations of classic New England dishes for our group, as well as, provided us with a history lesson on this wonderful old restaurant, which seemed timeless in it’s presentation of food and atmosphere. The clam chowder tasted yummy and hit the spot on a chilly day, and the salad was crisp and fresh. Go there!

I was really excited about trying this restaurant because it was recommended by a worker in Quincy market. However, when we went to sit down, it seemed like a nice place. But the service was not very good quality. We asked for water and she brought a pitcher to the table and we didn’t see our waitress until she brought our food. She was sitting down in the corner the whole time as we needed napkins and ketchup which we got ourselves. As for the food, I was surprised that the quality of the food did not match the high prices. We had to return a dish because it was not what he expected and I felt the waitress was not happy to go back to the chef. For what we paid, I would look around and check out reviews. It was not worth our money.

The restaurant Durgin-Park came highly recommended by a friend who raved about having the best steak he has ever had. My experience was equally as enjoyable. The scallops were cooked to perfection. I definitely would go again.

We were so excited for dinner here...total bust. The decor was great and the food was alright (defiantly lacking some seasoning in my own) but the service was terrible. Waited quite a while for drinks (about 15 minutes), a hostess took our order, someone else brought out the food no one checked on us, and I had to ask another person for the bill. Disappointing to say the least. $80 for 2 adults and a child. I'd suggest elsewhere.
