I am giving this review three stars because the food here is good, but can get a little salty, depending on the day. However, please beware if you go with a party over six people. Gratuity will already be included on your bill. The waitress we had FAILED to EXPLAIN this to our party and took a DOUBLE TIP. Again, human error on the part of the customer, but a FAIR WARNING would have been appreciated. The explanation of this policy is in EXTREMELY SMALL PRINT on the very BACK PAGE OF THE MENU. So please large parties beware. We have gone to O'Gils twice with a party over six people and it was never mentioned to us.

Made a reservation on mothers day to avoid the wait. First walking in the place has a smell too it. It also had like a some what nostalgic family ran setting/vibe to it. The service was a little aggressive from our waiter which was a bit odd. It was my first time here and I felt rushed when making decisions off the menu. The food took forever, and I was there for over an hour and it wasnt even that packed when we had ordered. When the food finally arrived it wasnt bad at all. Plenty of flavor. Definitely try the Ogil house steak. The gravy was great. The place is very spacious and has a decent amount of seats. The portions are indeed big. You pay for what you get. All and all an okay place for some good food.

Love this place for food quality and price. Large portion size WOW. I grew up in FR. This place is a hidden jem. If you want great instead of good in Portuguese food, go here. I've tried them all. Generation of great Portuguese culture
