I had a wonderful experience this past Saturday evening at the Alumni. The restaurant's atmosphere, service, drinks and music were just perfect! I had the turkey tips special. The tips were so juicy and tender and they were served with the yummiest, creamy, butternut squash. To Die For! The owner is a real sweet lady who mingles among her guests to ensure they are having a pleasant dining experience; she treats you as if you are family. I most certainly plan on eating there again and soon!!!!

My wife and I dropped In for burgers, beer and open mike night at the Alumni and were pleasantly surprised. Instead of a burgers we ordered scallop dish that was on the daily special menu. Sea scallops sauteed, served with a lemon thyme risotto and a limoncello sauce. Everything was spot on. Service was great. Food outstanding. Nice to have place like this so close to home.

Can't say anything negative about the Alumni. The food is great, my favorite is the sirloin tips. Service is amazing. You don't need to wait long for your food to come out. Booths are snug for a larger person, everything on the menu is available for take out.

So, this is our neighborhood place. We go there often, it's just so very convenient. We've sort of hung in there over the last 7 or 8 months. We love the servers and bartenders. We know them, they know us - you know, sort of. Recently (within the last 3 or 4 or 5 weeks?) they gotten a new chef. And I must say - SO much better! Really, we would probably go there anyway since it is nearby, but now we are enjoying it much, much more! We've been 3 or 4 times since the new chef arrived. Our dishes are much better. The flavorings and the specials have improved greatly. We now enjoy going there again rather than just going because it is local. We've (or our pals) have had fish and chips, surf and turf specials, steak tips, blackened fish, roast beef dinner, and chicken marsala and all has been very good. The veggies are seasoned nicely and so fresh & yummy. The roast beef, (sandwiches OR dinner is always a go-to favorite) is consistent and fabulous. They are attentive to your needs and making sure everything is to your satisfaction. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Consistent service and food quality. It's a good, locally owned restaurant. Nothing spectacular, but always leave satisfied. Great salads, good roast beef sandwich, grilled meats etc. Take out carries home well, but always takes longer than stated on the phone. Comfortable bar, mostly regulars, but spacious and welcoming.
