Went for mother's day lunch. I should have ordered the prime rib but went with my favorite tips and tenders. I couldn't eat half of the tips they were so raw. I couldn't cut them and they looked on the gray side. Not wanting to get sick, I left those and ate the good pieces. Server asked how everything was she was collecting the bill. She did offer a free dessert to go to replace the tips. It wasn't her fault!! I would have sent then back for a quick toss on the grill but was afraid of the gray color. It's almost like they were sitting out for too long.

We have been going to this 99 for years, but we usually only go because we are meeting people who want to go here or we have a gift card. While the portions are good and there is a large selection to choose from, we've never had anything off the menu that had wowed us. 99 is not one of the better chains. The steaks tend to be overly salty and the vegetables overly cooked. The drinks have always been good; cold beer, heavy pours of wine, and tasty cocktails. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is clean. We've always been seated quickly. It's a good location, not far from the highway. It's never our first choice, but we don't refuse to go when asked.

Good food and excellent service. My annoyance is around the kids eat free deal in MA when the Red Sox win. They won the day I went and I ordered a kids meal for my picky toddler because i thought it was free. Instead I was told when I got the bill that kids eat free the day AFTER they win. It's in small print on the kid's menu and it was only $6, but I would appreciate more transparency.

The Franklin 99 Restaurant is one of my favorite places to meet friends to have a tasty morsel to eat, and a cocktail or 2. The whole staff, from the GM all the way to the best bartender in Franklin (Michelle) are beryl accommodating. If you have never been there, I highly recommend dining there.
