If you've been disappointed with this place in the past, as we have, you may want to try it again. The kitchen staff has turned over and the food has improved considerably. The front-of-the-house staff is friendly and welcoming. We had sushi and it was very good.

We were hungry for some seafood, while visiting Gloucester, for a few days. Latitude 43, was the closest after we spent a day whale-watching. And we were not disappointed. Very professional and friendly staff. Which is a must in any tourist town. By viewing the interior...we realized it would be "Pricey," but not ridiculously expensive for a waterfront restaurant. My parents had broiled fish & steak. I had the fish fry basket...which was the most tasty platter, I've had in a long-time. Best of all...we did not have to keep asking for our beverages to be refilled. Which was a real treat being that we were on a boat all day in the sun. the time between ordering & receiving food, was excellent and the dessert, for me, was outstanding. Best of all...Latitude 43, in the Summer, has a small outdoor waterfront lunch area with Lobster Rolls. Freshly made right in front of you. If ya go whale watching in Gloucester...be sure to stop in at Latitude 43. It's worth it. Oh. The 4 star rating, is simply because of the menu prices. I'm not use to paying that much. But it was a vacation. And Latitude 43, is worth the price.

We drifted into Latitude 43 while in town for the weekend and were treated to excellent fair, ambience and clientele. We met one of the hosts of Sugar Magnolias nearby by the fire place and enjoyed the conversation so much that we went there for breakfast the next day. Excellent place to dine and relax
