Trattoria Amalfi is a rare gem. I feel that it is unequivocally the finest Italian restaurant in Salem, New Hampshire. The food is always fantastic, the drinks are unique and delicious, and the price simply can't be beat. Compared to some other Italian restaurants in the area, Amalfi is truly both the most delicious and the best value. Try the pink sauce on just about anything.

Sweet little place. Walking in - you absolutely forget this is part of a strip mall. We sat in our private little alcove and our waitstaff was sweet and knowledgable. I ordered a classic and it was absolutely delicious. We were just passing through but if I was local I would go here all the time.

I've been coming here for a couple years now. I've even bought there signature gravy/sauce in bottles for my fiance at the time as a birthday gift (she loved it so much). Today was amazing. Appetizer and entrees were superb.

It's okay. There is nothing special about this place. The food is passable, but they were cheap and frugal with the marinara sauce on the pasta. The booths can be uncomfortable, and they can either be great for privacy or claustrophobic depending on how you feel. The wait staff was not as attentive as they could have been. If you have other options try those first.

I visited here for dinner recently, and had a great meal. The menu is large, with a wide variety of Italian options. They had a number of specials for the evening as well, including a prosciutto and melon appetizer that was delicious. The service was prompt and helpful, and they support reservations through OpenTable.
