The Townshend is a great restaurant all around. I went with my wife; she ordered the fish and chips and I got a pasta bolognese dish. Both were fantastic. The pasta was done just right, it seemed like it was made in house but I'm not sure. The sauce was very tasty. I tried the fish and chips and it was honestly the best fish and chips I've ever had! They give huge portions and they didn't skimp out on the fish. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate since it's very small. You may feel a bit packed in but it didn't seem to phase me as the atmosphere was very nice. Due to it being very small, they can't accommodate a lot of people so be prepared. Parking has steadily gotten worse around Quincy and they don't have their own parking, but usually you can find something on a side street nearby. It's a bit pricey but I think the food justifies the cost. The staff was also friendly and helpful.

Drinks and food here are top notch. The staff is very friendly and talented. I like having a restaurant this high quality in Quincy. Just come. You won't regret it.

Such a great staff team, exquisite food, and mellow atmosphere. One of the top best restaurants in Quincy to say the least!

The waiters were polite, but I don't really understand why it took 25+ minutes after ordering an egg breakfast for the food to come out. There were about 5 other tables seated and only two, including mine, waiting for food. As someone who works in a breakfast restaurant myself, I know eggs don't take more than 5 minutes to cook. Good service, but for the price and the abnormally long wait for food, I'm not sure I would come back. Zef down the street has great brunch, with bigger portion size, making it worth the price. Probably would choose that next time instead.
