Plenty of other bars and restaurants near by skip this one! Save yourself the trip. Worst customer service The second the light come staff starts screaming in your face. If I could give negative stars I would. This is definitely not the nicest bar in Salem but they usually have good music to dance to which is why I’d go from time to time. Management and MOST of the staff (won’t say all because there’s a few genuine people that work there) act and treat you like a criminal the second those lights come on. Doesn’t matter what methods they take. Management will laugh with their out of line employees. Honestly they aren’t very friendly to begin with but things just get out of line fast when they want to close early. Seriously don’t understand how this place is still open. Read way to many reviews saying how much their service is lacking. Treating your customers kindly and with respect should probably be more of a priority. Needless to say I now fully understand the bad reputation Murphy’s has in Salem.

A good night spot (very busy at times) and good food. I had Poutine that was delicious. Nachos were plentiful. And Chicken and Biscuits was huge.

Wonderful food and very nice bartender/waiter, but extremely loud environment. Also, bathrooms were extremely sub par and falling apart. Also took very long for the food to arrive, though it seemed as though there were maybe only two staff members there.

I love Murphy's! The staff is awesome and the food is great. A place that you must visit.

This place is so trashy...and NOT in the good dive bar way. The food is mediocre, the drinks are watered down, and it turns into a pretty seedy dance club at night. It’s routine to see police called, patrons screaming or physically fighting on the patio...it’s legit a dumpster fire. When there are SO many good bars and restaurants in Salem, you have the chance to do infinitely better at honestly any other location. Hell, the gas station across the street probably has better service. If you truly want the Murphy’s experience, I’d recommend: - stay home - blast 2002 era house music - buy natty light - poor half of it down the drain - fill the rest with water - drop in a roofie - chug it - punch yourself in the face - and then take a drive to just “cool down” By then, the police should be called, your pants should be around your ankles, and when you wake up in the drunk tank the next morning you’ll smile to yourself and say, “ah - that was a Murphy’s night.”
