This has been go to restaurant for roast beef for our family for over two decades. And it is still a good choice. Not only beef, but the scallops in tangerine sauce is a wonderful small plate. Sound level is reasonable and service attentive, but not overbearing. My only complaint: at our last visit, the beef came out cool, as if the plate had been sitting for a while while other plates were being prepared. There needs to be a little more attention by the kitchen to getting the food to patrons. If you go, and you should, makes sure your server is aware of the potential problem.

The steak and food were outstanding. The salad, steak, drinks ....everything was great. The stockyard has become our favorite steak restaurant! I just had to downgrade to 4 stars because the last two times we ate there our steaks were only warm not hot. Management please work on this because you really deserve 5 stars. Thanks!

A neat place to go for drinks and food. We sat at the large bar. Plenty of staff, great service, great food, I'd go back without hesitation. I felt like I was at cheers. But Norm wasn't there.

Food was incredible, steak was cooked to perfection and exactly how I asked for it (a lot of places will bring you a "medium rare" steak that turns out to be "well done" by the time it reaches your table. Not at the Stockyard though.) Had a few of the sides including asparagus scallops and lobster tails. Everything was absolutely delicious. Washed everything down with a glass of Malbec that finished the meal off quite nicely. Overall it is a little pricey (based on the cost of restaurants in used to, may be on par with area restaurants I'm not sure. Cost with tip for my brother and I came to about $240, that included two large steaks two lobster tails numerous sides a couple drinks and a desert. 10/10 if you're a steak person in the Boston area do yourself a favor and dine here.

Overall ok- Onion soup, cup $4: Cheese and croutons good, soup was ok. One slice of onion was large and tough. Flavor of soup not as intense as it should be. It's not too difficult to make this soup, just laborious (4 hours of stirring ). I was hoping it would be better than what I experienced. Stockyard salad $10: Good, although portion appears large on the flat plate, it was of average size. Quality is good. 16 oz. Aged prime rib $30: Not good. Bland. Arrived with a little bit of horseradish on the top, and a steel condiment cup of whipped butter. Surprised by the lack of flavor. I ordered it 'pan blackened', rare. They cooked it to rare, but it was flavorless, not what I expected. I was expecting the flavor of Beef!, but what I received was lacking the great Beef! Aroma, taste, etc that I love. I was disappointed.
