Stopped here for lunch and had a really nice experience overall. Ordered the brie and mushroom soup that was pretty good, it was not the most flavorful as others have mentioned, it could use more mushroom pieces. I also ordered the spring kale salad, and this is the reason I would recommend people to visit The Wooden Spoon. This was a very delicious salad and a great size proportion of all the ingredients. I highly encourage the restaurant to maintain these proportions as it is an appropriate amount for the price. The staff was pretty good, the place was empty (roughly 2pm), yet our waitress seemed eager to get away from our table despite some nice conversation. Still enjoyed the whole meal and experience.

This place is really losing its charm. Tables are cramped, floor is slanted terribly and the food used to be great, but is now nothing special. Lunch is safer than dinner, which is really overpriced for a very average food now being offered. The menu remains unique, though not in a good way. This is a restaurant that has always appeared to me to want to compete with some of the finer dining establishments in Ann Arbor, but never quite made it. Each year they've slipped a bit more. I will be spending my money elsewhere going forward and spare myself the continued disappointment from this venue.

Stopped in for lunch. Was really good. High quality ingredients made for tasty items. We had the BLT that came with an egg and the Wholly Cow that was made with shaved sirloin. Tried cups of the mushroom soup. Nice little spot for a good lunch.

Nowhere on the menu was the dish I ordered described as being spicy, and when I sent it back and looked for a replacement dish the waitress (who we saw maybe 3 times our entire dinner) had no idea what the ingredients in any of the dishes were. I understand the concept is local and fresh, but when your menu is that small and that specialized there is NO EXCUSE for staff not to know the menu backward and forward. The manager was not helpful and was combative, even though the MENU was the issue and not the food. Pompous and not worth the money. Do yourself a favor and support your local economy by purchasing fresh local produce from local growers and cook at home.

Great place for lunch! All the salads, sandwiches, and soups I ever tried have been excellent! The cherry festival salad is especially delicious and the portions are very generous. A half salad is more than enough for one person. The service was nice as well.
