My family and I went around lunch time (7 of us) and we were seated with no wait. Our waiter was nice and it was kid friendly. Food was good. Mexican with a twist is how I would describe it. Wasn't authentic Mexican but still good. The fries and dipping sauce were really good, my favorite! My daughter didn't care for the enchiladas.

The food wasn't bad, the house margaritas were okay. To be fair about the service received we did go on "National Margarita Day", with that being said it was very slow. We waited nearly 15 minutes after placing our drink order to even see our waitress again. Then another 25 minutes to receive our food after placing that order. It was 2 tacos and a an order of nachos. Overall it was a decent experience, will try to go back on an average day and try something else.

I go to Calexico for the tequila selection and the convenience. I wouldn’t go hungry, as their food doesn’t come in large portions and honestly isn’t that tasty. Typically, I sit at the bar. Although I have dined at the high tops and outdoors. The outdoor seating option is always nice to have. The service is unquestionably hit or miss. One night you may experience friendly, quick, and competent service from your bartender or waiter. Other times you may feel like the staff either a) has completely forgotten about you, or b) wishes you weren’t there at all. The latter is worse. *In short, I’d recommend grabbing a spot at the bar, ordering a basket of chips and salsa, and enjoying the extensive selection of reasonably priced tequilas and the quirky assortment of yummy margaritas offered.*

Service was TERRIBLE! Very slow even though is was not crowded at all. Food was good. Took very long to come and several tables were messy long after guest left.

I only tried the tacos and they were really good. Especially nice if you don't want to eat much or try out a few different tacos.
