I found out about this place from their food truck and was excited to try their brick and mortar location. The puffy taco is worth the trip, but don't be afraid to explore. I tried the pork stew burrito, and it was really good. They serve generous portions, so bring an appetite or be ready to ask for a doggy bag. I also recommend the frozen swirled margarita and house made sangria. The staff is friendly and quick, even when they're slammed. There's plenty of parking and they have outdoor seating when weather permits.

Had the puffy tacos. The shell was entirely to thick but it tasted pretty good. The guacamole was very good. One of the best I've had in a while. They really phone it in on the rice though. I love good Mexican rice but my neighbor makes it way better than El charro. Hell I'm white with an Asian, American/Mediterranean and Indian cooking background and I make better Mexican rice. But good overall the guacamole alone was worth it and that's not my favorite thing to eat but, I couldn't stop eating it. Just please do something about the rice. Please

Good food. Loved the patio area. We stopped for lunch and the service was fast & courteous. I haven't been in a while but it was better than I remember it being. Will stop for another visit soon.

We had a wonderful waiter and the salsa and chips are delicious. The decor is also really nice. But the portion sizes are small for the price. The food was okay. There isn't anything wrong with it. There are odd menu choices though. Like, when you order a meal it comes with either a salad or a ...nacho? It's essentially a tostada with melted shredded cheese and 4 jalapenos slices on it. Overall I was underwhelmed.

Love El Charro! We had a large party of 13 with kids; great service and food. Everyone's order was correct and hot, delivered at the same time...not an easy feat for some places. No problem with switching some ingredients so I could eat a delicious vegan meal.
