Good food at a good price. Love the selection of bottled sodas. Staff is always friendly. Seating available, bit crowded during lunch hours but it's worth it. Nice location across from Rosa Parks Circle, walkable distance if you work in or near downtown

Hot dogs are good and I love the make your own nachos (I have mine made with doritos) . Nice selection of bottled sodas also. Service is hit or miss, sometimes they are super friendly and helpful, other times not so much.

Overall, not bad. There are better hot dog places in Grand Rapids but this is a decent lunch spot nonetheless especially if you live, work, or go to school downtown. One thing that bugs me about The Dog Pit is that their "Chicago Dog" is not even remotely close to an actual Chicago-style hot dog (their version has chili and ketchup on it). If they actually offered an authentic Chicago-style hot dog I would be thrilled but as it is now I really think they need to rename this menu item. Otherwise, food is consistent and prices are very reasonable.

First timer here...I was impressed with fast service and friendly staff. Clean tables and great prices! The food was okay...I'm definitely a yesterdog girl so I had a biased opinion going in but this place missed the mark in taste. Great atmosphere and staff!

Fast service, good cheap food and great customer service. Really Like the old layout vs the newer retro look most restaurants cater to
